211 is a national program that operates as a three digit number
similar to 911.
Once implemented, Branch County residents can dial the number from any location in the county, via land line or cell phone and reach a local operator 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year and be connected with local information.
Information available ranges from utility assistance, to learning the location and time of the Fourth of July fireworks, to finding a location to donate used furniture.

The specific goals in implementing a 211 system include:
Goal 1: Creating opportunities for all members of the community to have access to any local information they may need.
Goal 2: Educating community members on what is available in Branch County.
Goal 3: Help individuals find and connect with community resources.
Goal 4: Help individuals identify and connect with places to volunteer or to make a donation.
Goal 5: Collect and analyze data to help us better understand our community and its' needs.
